Diwali will be Celebrated on Thursday, 5th November in 2021.

What is Diwali and Why we Celebrate it?

As per Hindu Mythology, There was a brave and honest King in the City Ajodhya in India. He has three queens but he do not have child. We worship god. God has given him a fruit and ask him to divide and give it to all the three queens so that they eat it. After 9 months all the three queens has given birth to 4 prince. Named as Rama, Bharat, Laxman and Shatrughan. The time has passed and all the prince become young. The King who got old by the time, want to hand over his responsibility and throne to his oldest son Ram. In addition further want to go for worship.

Promise to the Queen

Especially, While Planning the Ceremony. Some one had made false rumors about one of his queen that if the eldest son will take the charge of King then 2nd Queens will be exploited and will not be honored. So the Second Queens request the King to fulfill his Promise given in one of the war.  She demanded a 14 year exile to Lord Rama and give the throne to his son Bharat. The King became very sad. Finally requested his 2nd Queen that he will give the throne to his 2nd Son Bharat. Further request not to send his eldest son for an exile. Lord Ram heard this and he did not accept the throne and get ready for the exile.

Further, Due to the King promise to his queen, he could not stop Lord Ram but send his other Queens to stop him but unfortunately to complete the promise of this father, finally Lord Ram went to jungle for exile with his wife and Brother Laxman.

Fourteen Year of Exile

Especially Within 14 year of exile he helped many saints and live like an ordinary man in forest. One of the Devil Raavan took her wife Sita from the Forest and kept her in his custody and force her to marry him, but she did not. Furthermore, Lord Shri Ram with his brother searched his wife with the help of Veer Hanuman ji, Jamvant, Jatayu, Angad and Vanar sena. Finally after a long battle, Lord Ram won the battle in Sri Lanka over Raavan and took his wife back. Hence We celebrate Diwali in the memory of this Victory over Raavan.  In Addition, Raavan was a devil and We feel this victory of Goodness  over the devil give us a lesson how to play  good role in our lives.

 Wishing you Happy Diwali.
